Transformers 5: Akiva Goldsman Working On the Script, Michael Bay and Mark Wahlberg to Reunite, More Details

2017 will see the much anticipated Transformers 5 coming to the theatres near you. Transformers: Age of Extinction was one of the biggest blockbuster movies of last year and ever since Paramount Studios confirmed Transformers 5, fans have been dying to know more about the film.

Initially there were reports that Paramount was not asking Michael Bay to direct the fifth instalment of the Transformers franchise. Instead Jonathan Liebesman was expected to take the reins, however recent report suggests that Paramount Pictures is going to ask Michael Bay to come back and work his magic in Transformers 5 as well.

Paramount knows the kind of popularity the Transformers franchise enjoys. Given that Transformers: Age of Extinction has raked in billions of money worldwide, they are working on bettering it with Transformers 5.

Paramount Pictures has created a writers team that will work on the script for the upcoming film. The last part of Transformers: Age of Extinction showed Optimus Prime going to space to find out more about the Quintessons.

The writers’ team will have noted writer Akiva Goldsman and Robert Kirkman. They will be responsible for creating the plot for Transformers 5 while Michael Bay will work on bringing their ideas into reality.

Akiva Goldsman and Robert Kirkman have in their team writers like Zack Penn, Matt Holloway, Christina Hodson, Art Marcum and Gabriel Ferrari to name a few. According to Deadline, the team is reading through the franchise history, looking through every bit of merchandise and character history to create a storyline that is in tune with the franchise legacy.

There were rumors about who will be part of the star cast for Transformers 5. Mark Wahlberg, who was seen in Transformers: Age of Extinction, spoke to Collider and hinted at the fact that Michael Bay is going to be a part of the film. Wahlberg was the first one to confirm his presence in the movie.

Since Wahlberg said that Michael Bay and he will sit down together after he is back from shooting in Malta, Movie Pilot has confirmed that news that the director is going to return to the director’s chair to work his magic on the upcoming film.

There were speculations that Megan Fox and Shia LeBeouf were also set to be back in Transformers 5. While Megan Fox had expressed her desire to be back on the sets of another Transformers movie, there was no such comment made by Shia LeBeouf.

Megan Fox and Michael Bay had had a spat on the sets of their last Transformers movie, after which Megan was asked to leave the franchise. However, the two have recently worked on their differences and have come together to work on the upcoming film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Megan Foxx had expressed her desire to be back in a Transformers film only if her Shia LeBeouf was coming back. Given the antics of LeBeouf that are doing the rounds on YouTube, it doesn’t look like he is interested in working in Tansformers 5.

Shia LeBeouf was caught on camera trashing the Transformers franchise and talking about a director, who we can easily presume to be Michael Bay. He threw expletives and rapped about how the franchise shows a parallel universe that doesn’t exist amid a lot of cheers.

It doesn’t look that LeBeouf is interested to be a part of Transformers 5 and even if he is, it doesn’t look like Paramount Studios will want him on board given his recent act of trashing the franchise. There has been no official confirmation about any other actor being a part of the series.
