Pokemon Sun and Moon to Release in 2016, No Reports Confirming the Launch of Pokemon Z!

Pokemon Z, a highly anticipated RPG is highly unlikely to be released this year. Reports suggest that game developer Game Freak will come up with Pokemon Sun and Moon game in the year of 2016. A specific launching and release date for Pokemon Sun and Moon is yet to be released and the tease further indicates that both games will be released this year.

The Pokemon Sun and Moon game will be released on the Nintendo 3DS console and according to some speculations, it could officially come out in the year of 2016, during the Holidays.

However, gamers might ultimately feel bad about the pushback in the release date and there are further reports that Zygarde will actually be a part of the Pokemon Sun and Moon game. The same will happen for Mangearna and Volcanion.

They are likely to have important roles to play on both the Sun and Moon storylines. There is no confirmation from Game Freak but it has been specified that most of the characters to be released in Pokemon Z will be a part of Pokemon Sun and Moon as well.

This makes the latter game a prologue of the former. Further reports indicate that Pokemon Sun and Moon will involve the presence of Xerneas and Yveltal, who serve as lead characters of the predecessor game, Pokemon X and Y.

However, it is unclear as to how the two characters will play out in the new game and it will be mixed up with the likes of other Pokemon like Volcanion, Zygarde and Mangearna. There are further rumors that Game Freak will not release Pokemon Z or Pokemon Sun and Moon, but instead, they will launch a Pokemon Rainbow.

MetalDave of Ninten Gen, a marketing employee of Nintendo of America has revealed that the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Pokemon this year will feature the launch of Pokemon Rainbow. The launch of this game has been indicated by internal US marketing budget and scheduling overview for 2016 focusing on the 3DS and the Wii U.

According to some gamers, Pokemon Rainbow is the version of Pokemon Sun and Moon in America. It is still not clear whether Pokemon Rainbow is an entirely different game from Pokemon Sun and Moon.

However, Game Freak or The Pokemon Company is yet to confirm or deny anything, any possible connection between the two games is merely speculation at the moment and should be taken with a pinch of salt, as reported by Crossmap. In February, there were reports that Pokemon Z might not release this year since it is still under development.

However, Game Freak, a subsidiary of The Pokemon Company did not deny or reveal anything so these are all speculations at the moment. Japanese Gaming Magazine CoroCoro recently published a full-length feature on Pokemon Z and all the five forms of Zygarde were shown.

He appears to be a fusion of two legendary characters of Pokemon X and Y, which are Xerneas and Yveltal. From the same source, Zygarde is described a Legendary Pokemon who possesses dual type of character along with traits like the Dragon and Ground Creator.

He is further expected to be the main element of Pokemon Z. Further reports indicate that Pokemon Z will not be released this year but Pokemon GO is ready for release and will be launched in the first quarter of 2016.

Since Pokemon Platinum, The Pokemon Company has not released a third game in any of the main line of Pokemon games. Therefore, Pokemon Sun and Moon replacing Z should not come as a surprise. Only Pokemon Platinum was released to accompany Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. The succeeding games no longer had a third version.
