2 Former Mortal Kombat Characters May Be Included In Mortal Kombat X, More Details!

There will be some awesome characters released with Mortal Kombat X DLC Pack 2 when it is finally launched in 2016. Since Ed Boon, the co-creator of Mortal Kombat X, confirmed the launch of additional DLCs in the future, speculations regarding the characters to be added have been spreading like wildfire.

However, NetherRealm Studios hasn’t declared any names till now and what we have are mere speculations and nothing more. In Twitter, Ed Boon made a major announcement regarding Mortal Kombat X DLC Pack 2 and he shared a picture with a caption stating that it was the official announcement of the new downloadable content that will be coming soon to Mortal Kombat X.

PlayStation Universe states that Smoke, Spawn and Baraka will be the new playable characters to be released for the DLC Pack 2 of Mortal Kombat Universe. For the people who are unfamiliar, Smoke is actually a well-loved character from the ninth installment of the popular Mortal Kombat X franchise.

He made his first appearance in the game, released back in 1993. In the second DLC update, we could further see Spawn as the second DLC character. The creator of the character, Todd McFarlane provided permission to Warner Brothers to use Spawn in the game. Keep in mind that this is a limited-time offer only.

There are many other characters that have been rumored to be included in the upcoming DLC and they are Sindel, Alien, Bo Rai Cho, Fujin and Noob Saibot. Realty Today further speculated the addition of characters like Drahmin and Havik in Mortal Kombat X, based on a recent post on Twitter by Ed Boon.

Accompanied by a picture of Havik and Drahmin, Boon wrote on his Twitter account, “We can’t feel our face when we’re with you! And we hate it.

And we hate it,” Keep in mind that this is in no way a confirmation regarding the addition of these characters to Mortal Kombat X or their inclusion in the upcoming DLC Pack 2. Specific details regarding this DLC pack have not been announced, but it is expected to be released in early 2016.

Rumors and speculations at this point indicate that Mortal Kombat X will be getting four new characters with the upcoming Kombat Pack 2 DLC and fans have been incessantly trying to figure out who these characters are.

Meanwhile, Ed Boon keeps releasing teasers in Twitter and they kick-start a whole new batch of fresh speculations.  A shadowy image was earlier teased by Ed Boon with the caption ‘Who’s Next?’ and fans started to guess who that could be.

Recently, photos of Havik and Drahmin were tweeted by Boon and they seem to include more detail than was seen in the 2006 version of the game. This somehow indicates that Mortal Kombat X decided to take Havik and Drahmin and further optimize them for their inclusion in the game. This includes more details and better graphics on their faces.

It is good if Mortal Kombat X keeps the comic and the game world properly connected. It would be a disappointment if characters keep appearing in the comic book but are not included in the game.

The ESL Mortal Kombat X Pro League Season 2 preseason event is the biggest ESL MKX Pro League season till now. 1. At least the Drahmin and Havik tweet thing can be totally discounted. Ed Boon has said several times that he absolutely hates Drahmin and regrets making him. He even made a point of pre-emptively killing off Drahmin and Havik in their pre-launch comic.
