According to Martin’s plot, Princess Arianne departs from Sunspear in order to find out what happened to Aegon Targaryen. She is said to be joined by her sworn shield Ser Daemon Sand and her cousin Elia Sand, as reported by Food World News.
Together, they sail their way to the Stormlands. George R.R Martin did not offer an explanation as to why she was not featured in the Game of Thrones TV series.
In the meantime, the books series shows that Ramsey Bolton sent a letter to Jon Snow stating that Stannis Baratheon was vanquished and killed in battle.
However, there was no event or scene in the book that confirms or denies the death of Stannis and as a result, so the possibility that Ramsey must have lied and Stannis lives was entirely possible. George R.R Martin recently confirmed that Stannis is very much alive in his next book.
Meanwhile, coming back to the plot twist, we can only anticipate that Martin has planned something really tremendous that shock fans to the extreme possible extent. We’ll just have to wait and see if he decides to do it.
