While the stories will be completely different, there is going to be one aspect where the two stories will overlap to make it a unified whole.
However, with different reports about the supposed plot line and the story has confused the fans. They are waiting for the official confirmation from Paramount Studio about the plot line for the upcoming film.
Stephen Davis, who is the President of Hasbro, has commented that Transformers franchise has enough material to help prepare stories for ten more years.
He also said that he had complete faith on the team of writers that are working for them for Transformers 5 and he is sure that Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman will be able to help them create a film that beats the records set by the earlier installments.
Transformers 5 will be directed by Michael Bay. He was previously busy with other films but has cleared his schedule for Transformers 5 and shooting for the same is likely to begin next year.
Although no date for the release has been announced, it is assumed that the film will hit the theaters sometime in 2017.
