The season finale of The Walking Dead Season 6 was a cliff-hanger, which the viewers are dying to find out more about. It was a one and a half hour long episode that ended with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) beating someone up with his baseball bat.
In fact, Season 6 ended with the fate of ten characters hanging by a rope. Viewers saw eleven characters lined up in front of Negan. Before the viewers could understand what had happened, the viewers saw the screen turn black with the repeated sound of the bat crushing someone’s skull.
With The Walking Dead Season 7 right around the corner, Scott Gimple gave some scoop to the viewers. However, he was careful not to reveal the spoiler about what the viewers had seen in the last finale.
Gimple made it very clear that Season 7 of The Walking Dead will be all about the gore. He went ahead to state that Charlie Adlard had written the book really well and now the director and creative team will have to do their work to adapt the story onto the screen.
He said that as the viewers expected, the premiere episode of The Walking Dead Season 7 will start off from where the last season ended and the atmosphere is going to be very dark. However, he added that the incident will not last the whole of the season.
The Walking Dead Season 7 had been pushing the envelope ever since its premiere season and it has been improving every year. Gimple is well aware of how his team is going to start The Walking Dead Season 7, but he isn’t revealing anything to the audience since he knows a lot is at stake in the premiere episode.
According to Hollywood Life, the executive producer of The Walking Dead, Gale Anne Hurd, has revealed that the audience will not have to wait for a very long time to find out who it was that Negan had beaten to death in the final moment of The Walking Dead Season 6. This has seen a sigh of relieve from the fans since they now know that they don’t have to watch episode after episode of Season 7 while waiting to find out more about the incident.
Even though The Walking Dead Season 7 doesn’t premiere before the end of 2016, they can be at peace knowing that they will find the answer to this question right after the series starts. In fact, they will be able to get their answer the moment the series starts with the first episode.
Season 6 of The Walking Dead was one of the darkest seasons that the fans of the show have seen.
They saw a little girl, who was completely covered in blood, smiling while looking at her sister’s corpse, there was an elderly man who was shown to be decapitated and there insane and rampant blood bath, one of which cost Carl one of his eyes and cost the Anderson family, their lives. Gale spoke up about these moments and said that they had wanted to make fans go through the same thing that Maggie and the others are going through in Glenn.
There isn’t any telephone or communication device to communicate with the loved ones, to let them know that one is safe. The only way to realize if someone has made it, is to meet the person. This is exactly why they had played the cliff-hanger in the manner in which they had.
