The Flash Season 2 has a lot of big moments planned out. Apart from showcasing the crossover, this episode will also see Legends of Tomorrow, the new spinoff that the network is launching. Legends of Tomorrow will be coming on CW on 21st January.
CW has come out with a trailer for the upcoming episode and it offers a sneak peek of what’s in store. The episode will see Barry aka Flash (Grant Gustin) having a problem with Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), the super hero from Legends of Tomorrow. Hawkman is being questioned by the S.T.A.R team. Barry is not alone; he has been joined by Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell).
Since the episode is going to see the stars from the series Legends of Today, it has been similarly titled. The episode will see Barry Allen seeking Oliver’s help to find a safe place for Kendra Saunders to hide. Saunders is the Hawkgirl and she is trying to escape the clutches of the Vandal Savage.
Vandal Savage has entered the Central City and he attacks Kendra and Cisco (Carlos Valdes). Not knowing what to do, Kendra and Cisco seek Barry’s help and he in turn realizing how dangerous the situation is decides to take them to Star City and asks Oliver to help them.
However, things are set to become complicated when Hawkman shows up in the Star City and takes Kendra and flies away. Hawkman is finally stopped by Barry and Oliver and they try to find out what he is up to.
Hawkman has all the information about a villain whom they have to eliminate. Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) is immortal and his mission in life is to kill off Hawkman and win over the love of his life, Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée).
The story goes on to state that Vandal Savage has killed Hawkman aka Carter Hall and Hawkgirl aka Kendra Saunders previously, but the couple reincarnate every time they are killed.
Hawkman is determined to go after Vandal Savage again and finish him for good. He tells Flash and Arrow that he and Hawkgirl are the ablest people to kill off Vandal Savage, but Flash and Arrow try to talk him out of his mission given that he hasn’t been so successful in the past. This is when Hawkman challenges the two superheroes to see how capable they are.
International Business Times has reported that the crossover episode is going to be completely based on the story that is written in the comics. The story says that Kendra is completely unaware of her past life where she has been sought by the Vandal Savage only to be killed and reincarnated again and again.
When Hawkman narrates the story about their past lives, he addresses Hawkgirl as Shayera, but she responds back stating that her name is Kendra. Hawkman immediately responds back saying that they might be Carter Hall and Kendra Saunders in this birth, but they were originally prince Khufu and princess Shayera.
He goes on to state that ever since their first life, they have been together for over 4000 years and in each life they are soul mates and die together only to be born to find the other and fall in love again. Hawkman says that Vandal Savage has killed them 206 times and he will not let him be successful on the 207th time.
