Just in the recent past Wizard World Inc. and Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. announced that fans will be able to play Tekken 7 arcade addition at the Wizard World Comic Con in Portland. The Wizard World Portland was recently held in Portland. It began on February 19 and came to an end on February 21.
Fans were able to play the arcade version of the game at the event and also take part in a number of tournaments. The arcade version of the game will be playable at various other gaming events that will be held throughout the year.
The updated version of the game that is Tekken 7: Fated Retribution will be shown off at the JAEPO 2016. JAEPO is an event that is held in Japan and numerous arcade games are shown off at the event. The developers of Tekken 7: Fated Retribution recently released a new video that is centered around Akuma and some other fighters of the game.
Akuma is a well-known face in the world of Street Fighter games and is the brand new addition to the universe of Tekken 7. The new video that was released shows different characters of the game facing off against each other.
Firstly, fans can see Tokido facing off against the powerful Akuma. Various skill sets and abilities of Akuma are highlighted in the bout. The video also reveals a number of tactics to block Akuma’s powerful blows. Nobi is also seen going head to head against Dragunov in the video.
The traditional Rage attacks of the franchise have been reworked and will function in a different way in the upcoming game. Players will abele to build up rage faster and once built up, the rage can be used by players to gain extra knockback and extra juggles.
The Rage attack will be available to all the characters of the game. It will of major help to payers who wish to extend their combo chains.
It has also been confirmed that a former character of the Tekken series will be making a comeback to the franchise with Fated Retribution. Nina Williams who had made appearances in previous Tekken games will be returning to the franchise once again. The announcement came through a video that was released by the developers at an earlier point of time.
Katsuhiro Harada, the creator of the Tekken series had earlier stated that he is not a fan of guest characters. According to him, introduction of game characters unsettles the balance of the game. However, he also stated that the character of Akuma is perfectly suited for the world of Tekken and thus the developers have decided to incorporate this character in the game.
A renowned website recently listed the arcade version of the game for a July 2016 release. It also mentioned that the last date for Arcade places in Japan to order new machines for the game was March 18, 2016.
It is being assumed that Bandai Namco will roll out the game just in time for the popular EVO 2016 event. It is a known fact that EVO is a renowned fighting game tournament. The presence of Tekken 7: Fated Retribution at the event will ensure that the game gets a lot of exposure which will work towards boosting its sales.
There have been no specific announcements regarding the release date of the game on consoles. However, it was reported that Fated Retribution will very likely be rolled out for the consoles at a later point of time in the ongoing year.
