Star Wars Episode 7 Spoilers Revealed, New iOS Card Game Introduces Latest Characters!

In order to prepare the world for the release of Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens, Disney has planned a line of upcoming comics and books that will feature hints regarding this upcoming movie. It will include new starships, characters, planets and also silent clues regarding what happened to our heroes ever since the Battle of Endor.

Till now, the most exciting announcement has been regarding the ‘The Journey to the Force Awakens’ publishing initiative. Meanwhile, Star Wars: Aftermath will be the first novel which is set after Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. It will be featured in the new Disney Star Wars continuity.

In Star Wars Aftermath, the Death Star has been destroyed. Rumors continue proclaiming the death of the Emperor and his enforcer, Darth Vader. Presently, a new government is building up in order to replace the Empire. However, the fallout of this catastrophe will affect a lot of different worlds in the big galaxy. In the meantime, does everyone accept the fall of the Empire? Has everyone heard about this major breakdown? What will fill the vacancy left by the Empire? Furthermore, who will stop them?

According to fans of the original Star Wars Expanded Universe, the new plotline seems to connect closely with the one in The Thrawn Trilogy. It takes place immediately after the Battle of Endor. Here, the heroes struggled to form a New Republic Government on Coruscant. At the same time, a crazed Grand Admiral along with the remnants of the Imperial Fleet starts harassing the planets in the frontier. This essentially flips the role of the Empire and the Rebellion in Star Wars galactic politics. Meanwhile, Marvel’s upcoming Star Wars sequel series will begin in September and Star Wars Aftermath is scheduled to be released at the same time.

Meanwhile, Han Solo, the infamous smuggler has been joined by a group of Star Wars characters, both old and new in Topps’ new IOS Trading Cards app known as the Star Wars Card Trader. With this app, users can collect trade and showcase official Star Wars trading cards. It replicates every card released since the 1977 release of Episode IV. It also adds eight new cards for characters that will appear in the upcoming Star Wars Episode 7.
