Some reports suggest that Ken Kaneki will return as his old self instead of Haise Sasaki Kaneki, his new identity, who suffered a memory loss and handed himself over to the CCG. It was Arima who named Kaneki as Haise Sasaki.
The upcoming season of Tokyo Ghoul will be based on the Tokyo Ghoul: re-sequel manga. If it is based on this manga, the season will focus on Sasaki along with his future battles.
