In terms of software, this device will receive the very latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow which includes Doze, app permissions along with Google Now on tap and many other interesting bells and whistles of the latest android firmware. Compared to the already existing Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, the Tab 4 Advanced will offer decent spec bumps. In case you don’t remember, the former appeared first in 2014.
Meanwhile, The Verge revealed that although the spec-sheet looks like looks like a mid-range slate, the Tab 4 Advanced can still be considered among the top-of-the-line Samsung tablets. The above average type tablets from Samsung like the Galaxy S series cannot be compared to the Tab 4 Advanced.
However, the Galaxy Tab 4 Advanced will be able to hold its own against mid-range offerings from various other manufacturers. Besides this upcoming tablet, Samsung is also planning to expand its tablet lineup with other versions.
The Galaxy Tab A lineup was quietly updated by Samsung earlier this year, resulting in the emergence of Galaxy Tab A 7.0. Reports of a Galaxy Tab S3 lineup has recently surfaced online. The latest rumors suggest that Samsung will be unveiling two new tablet versions very soon.
