Ressler and Liz Could End Up Together but Romance Will Justifiably Take a Backseat for Some Time in The Blacklist Season 3, And More

The Blacklist will return this fall with an all-new third season. The network declared that the fall 2015 Premiere will take place on Thursday, 24th September at 9:00pm E.D.T. Boone recently told Zap2it that season 3 will feature the same characters but will come with a different dynamic and a whole new show.

Liz Keen is no longer on the side of the law and it will be challenging to find the procedural aspect of the show once again, if the entire task force breaks open. The show benefits from having a particular recipe while airing 22 shows a year. However, according to Boone, they need to break open a lot of structures in the show.

People who are rooting for Liz and Red should know that the love is not at all romantic in nature. According to Boone, people have noticed how much Red is in love with her but they should be aware of the confusing nature of this love.

Boone wants the show to clear all confusions regarding this issue. “How do you love someone that deeply — no matter what the circumstances, but especially when the circumstances are mysterious?”

In The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 22, titled Masha Rostova, Liz remembered that she was the one who pulled the trigger and killed her further on the fiery night. When Liz meets Red and tells him about it, a sweet moment ensues between the two of them and Liz finally acknowledges the extent of his care for her. They clearly love each other very deeply but could it be a sort of father-daughter love?!

In the season 2 finale, fans noticed Elizabeth Keen (played by Megan Boone) escaping the FBI with Raymond Reddington (James Spader). Meanwhile, her former colleague Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) positioned her on FBI’s Most Wanted List and removed Director Cooper (Harry Lennix) from his position. Season 3 will feature a great deal of excitement with Elizabeth being an agent no more and her former colleagues hunting her down.

As Kessler hunts Liz, fans are wondering if there will be any further romantic development, keeping in mind the subtle hints that were dropped in season 2. John Eisendrath, the executive producer revealed that there won’t be any kind of romantic developments right now and they wish to focus developing Ressler’s character at the moment.
