Once Upon A Time Season 5: Regina Turning Good, Henry Set To Play An Important Role!

ABC’s Once Upon a Time is one of the most popular series on television. The fourth season ended with Emma (Jennifer Morrison) getting sucked into the dagger and becoming the evil reincarnate. Emma was the epitome of goodness in the series and Once Upon a Time Season 5 will start on with Regina taking up her place and going ahead with Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin), Henry, Charming (Josh Dallas) and Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) to look for Emma.

Regina (Lana Parrilla) was a negative character in the show. However, since the end of Season 4 of Once Upon a Time she has been developing the heroic traits deep within her. Lana Parrilla spoke to Inquisitr about her role as Regina.

She said that Regina has started developing heroic tendencies recently, but there has to be a lot more commitment in her if she has to go ahead and try and rescue Emma back from the evil world. According to Yahoo! Celebrity, Regina is embracing the evil and good in her. Everyone has these traits in them and it is good that Regina has learnt to harness both these sides easily.

Once Upon a Time Season 5 will start from exactly where the season 4 ended. It is going to be difficult for Emma to come back from the evil and more so because she will be trained in there by Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle).

TVLine tried to find out how Rumplestiltskin could train Emma since he was in coma. Eddy Kitsis, who is the show-runner of the series, informed that the first few episodes will be enough to answer all the queries that are there in the minds of the viewers.

Kitsis said that when Emma entered the Darkness in the season finale of Once Upon a Time Season 4, she did not travel time. Instead she traveled realms and that is how she is in a position where she can be trained by the Dark One.

Regina and the others will start their journey to find Emma and they will realize soon enough that the way to go about would be by taking the help of Merlin (Elliot Knight). Merlin is the only wizard who can break the darkness.

Once Upon a Time Season 4 showed that Henry (Jared Gilmore), who is Emma’s son, had the opportunity to rewrite the story and prevent his mother from being taken by the Darkness. But instead of doing so, he broke the quill of the Author.

Henry didn’t realize the consequences then, but now when he looks back, he regrets his decision. It is now believed that he will go all out to make sure that he can rescue and bring his mother back.

Entertainment Weekly reported that according to the show-runners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis had told the audience at the San Diego Comic-Con that Henry will become the Author in the upcoming season.

This opens up a lot of interesting plot lines for Once Upon a Time Season 5. If Henry becomes the Author, then he gets the power to rewrite the plot of the book and help save his mother from the Dark One.

Once Upon a Time Season 5 will also see a string of new characters who will come into the picture as Emma explores the dark realm and the others go on the journey to save Emma. Disney’s Merida from Brave will become a part of the series. Merida will first cross paths with Emma in her journey as the Dark Swan. She will consequently meet the other characters from the show.
