A G.I Joe crossover will not be featured in Transformers 5 according to the producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura. During a Total Film review, Bonaventura told that there is a possibility between the two movie franchises but it is not going to happen anytime soon.
However, it is believed by Bonaventura that there are plenty of storylines to be offered by the G.I Joe and Transformers series on their own.
Around a year ago, this was the official stand and it has remained so, exactly the same even though rumors indicate that Transformers and G.I Joe might have a crossover featured in the coming future. Meanwhile, a lot of fans are wishing that Megan Fox should return to the franchise.
In the first two Transformers films, Fox appeared as the female lead character. However, due to a nasty spat with the Michael Bay, the film director, she was removed from the third Transformers movie. At the same time, the animosity between the two personalities is almost non-existent.
Bay was the producer in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Megan Fox played the role of the lead female character in that movie. As a result, fans of the Transformers franchise are hoping that Megan Fox makes a return since they have resumed a normal working relationship. The current cast is different from the previous Transformers movies in which she starred in.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Transformers 5 will be the last movie in the franchise to be directed by Michael Bay and this decision will probably have a lot of major repercussions. As a result, this indicates that the movies will be quite different from the Age of Extinction sequel.
Ever since the series started, Bay has been at its helm and to imagine the series being in someone else’s hand it pretty difficult. It will be a drastic change and fans of this series are pretty excited to see what happens to the franchise. However, keep in mind that it is a long way to go before Transformers comes to an end.
Stephen J. Davis, the Hasbro president declared in an interview that four more sequels have been planned for the series and moreover, it will span over a decade.
“You’re going to see a new Transformers movie coming from Hasbro and Paramount and Michael Bay and our other partners,” Davis stated. “In fact, we just finished — as some of you may have read — an incredible experience.
We decided we wanted to plot out the next 10 years of the Transformers franchise, so we got together in a 3-month period of time…nine of some of the most creative writers I have ever worked with — shepherded by Akiva Goldsman, who many of you may know won an Academy Award for A Beautiful Mind, and written a bunch of great movies.
And they plotted out the next ten years of Transformers. Similarly we are doing the same in television and digital. So stay tuned Transformers 5 is on its way. …And 6 and 7 and 8.” Keep in mind that it will be a while before we get to know who takes control of the Transformers franchise after the 6th installment.
In other news, Mark Wahlberg’s return has been confirmed by the actor but this doesn’t confirm the fact that Megan will be returning as well. Last year, Fox declared that her issues with Michael Bay have been resolved. However, it is still being speculated whether this will be enough to ensure a spot for the actress in Transformers 5 roster.

Yes, please feel free to take her back and keep her busy; too busy to continue being in TMNT.
