The device has been built using aluminum and it features a unibody design. It comes with the measurements of 145 x 70.9 x 7 mm and weighs in at 144g.
The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box combined Huawei’s own Emotion UI 4.1. Various reports indicate that the camera app of the device is not quite smooth as it should have been.
A major issue related to the app that is coming to the forefront is that the settings menu and the slide-out tray of pro mode settings fail to reorient when the camera gets into landscape mode. Huawei should have put in a little more effort behind the camera app since it is the highlight of the device.
The device is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 3000mAH battery that has the capability to keep the device up and running through the day. That apart it features the standard set of connectivity features- W-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. NFC and a USB Type-C port are also featured in the device.
The Huawei P9 will carry a price tag of £449 and it will hit the market later this month.
