Half-Life 3 Might Be Announced at E3 in June, Rumored to Be VR Compatible, A Half-Life Film Is in The Works!

However, since then the matter has not been discussed by either Valve or Abrams and thus people became skeptical about the existence of such films. In a recent interview, Abrams was asked about the status of the said movies.

He replied to the question by stating – Not yet, but they’re in development, and we’ve got writers, and we’re working on both those stories. But nothing that would be an exciting update.”

A short fan film by the name of Portal: No Escape was released in the past. However, it was not directed by J.J. Abrams and he was not related to it in any way.

Instead, it was Dan Trachtenberg who helmed the director’s chair for the movie. He was able to win kudos from both fans and critics for the film.

Many fans are speculating that if Half-Life 3 is not yet in its developmental stages, a Half-Life movie might provide the much needed impetus to the developers to start the game’s development process.

Speculations are also rife that if indeed a Half-Life film is released, it might be made into a trilogy and two more films could be developed and released in the future. While a trilogy is not yet confirmed, fans can sure expect atleast one Half-Life film to release sometime in the future.

Stay tuned for more update on Half-Life 3.
