The directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch said that they have been planning for a sequel, but didn’t want to go ahead with it until they have a proper story in hand. What makes John Wick stand apart from the other action thrillers is that it is not just about fighting.
The audience connects with the characters, which makes them root for them during the action sequences. This makes the movie a wholesome experience and not just a no-brainer action film.
Keanu Reeves spoke to IGN and spoke about how John Wick 2 will expand and explore deep into the world of John Wick and his mythology. Reeves described the second part as third degree black belt and said that the moviegoers should be prepared for some hard hitting action.
John Wick was a highly unique and an original film when it comes to its stylized environment, dialogues and its plot. Given the information that is circulating about the upcoming film, fans can rightly assume that the creators are going to give their all to bring back the same charm with a few new tricks.
John Wick 2 is expected to release in theaters on 10th February 2017.
