Dishonored 2: Release Pushed Back by the Developers, Pre-Order Available for PS 4 And Xbox One Versions, More Details

Dishonored 2 is an upcoming video game of the action adventure stealth role playing genre, from Bethesda Studios which is scheduled for a 2016 release. The game is a sequel to the immensely popular Dishonored game which was released back in October 2012. It is being developed by Arkane Studios and will be released for PC, PS 4 and Xbox One.

It is one of the most anticipated games of recent times and after the huge success of its predecessor, hype and expectations regarding the game are at an all time high.

Earlier at a Bethesda press conference it was revealed by the developers that players will be able to choose whether they want to play the game as CorvoAttano, the protagonist of Dishonored or Emily Kaldwin, the princess in the same game.

The developers had previously decided to launch the game in the Spring of 2016, but if recent rumors are to be believed, they are reconsidering the release date of the game due to certain reasons. Currently it is being believed that the game will hit the market sometime at the beginning of 2017.

This reason behind this delay could be that the developers want to avoid stiff competition from other games when Dishonored 2 makes its appearance. A number of other games are set to be launched in Spring 2016.

Bethesda maybe worried that these games may steal the spotlight from Dishonored 2 and thus it has decided to push back its release date to 2017. The delay will give the developers a chance to further work on the game to improve and enhance it even more.

The game will feature both CorvoAttano and Emily Kaldwin as playable characters. Not many details have been divulged about the gameplay of Dishonored 2but rumors are stating that players will make their way through the city of Karnaca in the game while playing as either Corvo or Emily. Players will have the capability of using their powers and special abilities in the course to take down enemies and complete a series of missions.

The main campaign of the game will feature a story that is set in a period 15 years after The Dunwall Plague. Emily, the Empress is unlawfully removed from her throne by an otherworldly usurper and declared an outlaw.

The Empire falls into a state of utter chaos after this incident. Witnessing all this, Emily decides to fight for her throne and her Empire to claim it all back and restore order and peace once again.

She takes up the path of CorvoAttano, her royal protector and decides to become an assassin like him. The Outsider’s mark which could be found on Corvo’s hand is also bestowed upon her along with a number of special powers and abilities. Using these powers and abilities she fights through the chaos with the hope of winning back what was once rightfully hers.

The game is currently up for pre-order for a price of just $20.00 by the renowned retailer–Target. Only the PS 4 and Xbox One versions of the game are available for pre-order at the moment.

The price may surprise fans and it might look that it’s just a hoax, but going by Target’s previous records, it could be assumed that the deal is indeed a legitimate one. Target has the reputation ofhonoring similar deals on certain other games in the past.

The first signs of the delay in release of Dishonored 2 were revealed at the presentation of the game at the E3 conference in the month of June of the current year.MattySchoeder, a You Tube user, who was present at the conference reportedly, saw something at the presentation that indicated a possible delay in the release of the game.
