Criminal Minds Season 11 recently declared Aisha Tyler would become a series regular. While she has been doing very well in her professional life, Tyler saw her marriage coming to an end.
She divorced her husband, Jeff Tietjens after being married for over 24 years. The reason for the separation was irreconcilable differences. The official documents stated that the two have been living separately since January 2015.
According to Design & Trend, the reason for the divorce seems to Tyler’s inability to conceive. She has been very vocal about her inability on The Talk, which she hosts with Sheryl Underwood, Sharon Osbourne, Leah Remini, Sara Gilbert and Holly Robinson Peete. Tyler had revealed that she and her soon-to-be-ex-husband had stopped trying to have a baby back in 2013.
The two had been college sweethearts and had gotten married in 1992. Even though they are going for the divorce, they have decided to remain friends. There are reports suggesting that Tietjens hasn’t asked for spousal support, but there are chances that he might ask for it later.
Aisha Tyler had joined the show from Season 11 and with Shemar Moore leaving Criminal Minds, there is going to be a new face joining the team in Season 12.
