There is a lot of leaked information regarding this device and the following can be expected so far. The device should have a full-metal unibody design like the Mi4. The Mi5 will come with a similar build that’s good news, since as far as ergonomics is concerned; the Mi4 was a decent performer.
As a result, people expect a lot from the upcoming Mi5’s design and according to the latest leaks, Mi5 will have an almost bezel-less screen. Users will get more real estate than Mi4 if the bezels are almost non-existent.
Furthermore, Mi5 is the first device that is expected to have a physical home button located on front. Similar to the Samsung smartphones, this button should be located right below the display. Predictions suggest that the upcoming smartphone will include a fingerprint scanner on the physical button.
The display in the Mi5 should be pressure-sensitive like the latest batch of Apple iPhones. Rumors indicate that it will retain the same 5inch 1080p display of its predecessor, Mi4. Instead of a Qualcomm offering, the Mi5 can come with MediaTek’s top-of-the-line Helio X20 CPU.
Rest assured that whenever it launches, the Xiaomi Mi5 will definitely feature top-end hardware. In terms of software, it is rumored that Xiaomi is working on their home-made MIUI interface, based on Android Marshmallow.
