Cloud Strife to Be Included in Super Smash Bros 4, Additional Details to Be Revealed In December’s Nintendo Direct, And More Details

It has been confirmed by Nintendo that Cloud Strife will be the next DLC character in Super Smash Bros 4. After the addition of Mega Man, a Capcom character and Street Fighter’s Ryu, Super Smash Bros 4 has become a lot more interesting.

Its developer, Nintendo, recently managed to secure its biggest coup with the announcement of Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII to be added to the game, before the end of this year. According to IGN, this particular piece of information was showcased during the latest Nintendo Direct Event.

Furthermore, in December, fans of this franchise will be receiving a lot more details and information regarding the inclusion of their favorite characters in the game. Keep in mind that this is against Nintendo tradition to include characters of other consoles or game universes to crossover.

The addition of character is a huge benefit for players who wish to play with the popular characters in a very different arena. The latest character to be included in the game is Cloud Strife.

According to a report from Event Hubs, the latest list of fan-voted characters revealed Dixie Kong from Donkey Kong Country, King K. Rool, Golden Sun’s Isaac, Splatoon’s Inklings, and Metroid’s Ridley. Nintendo further had a green light from Microsoft to include Banjo-Kazooie among the various DLC characters. Other than, Sonic the Hedgehog and Pac-Man has also been included in Super Smash Bros 4.

Players would definitely try to add more characters with the fighter ballot in place. Nintendo’s Wii U home console is rather underperforming but the latest characters for Super Smash Bros are some of the highly-anticipated and hyped downloadable content on this particular console.

For those who are not aware, Super Smash Bros 4 is a game which takes characters across Nintendo Games and puts them in one arena for a massive brawl. Besides characters like Mario, Link, Pikachu and more of Nintendo’s recognizable roster, recently, the Super Smash Bros 4 team started incorporating non-Nintendo characters into the mix like Mega Man and Ryu.

However, the most interesting announcement made by Nintendo recently, was regarding the inclusion of the dark hero Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII. He will be included in the game next month, along with some other major characters from the Nintendo Universe as well.

This will be a welcome introduction, not only to the Nintendo fans but fans of other franchises, who wish to play these characters in uncommon and totally new settings. After the announcement in the semi-regular Nintendo Direct, fans were also told to keep a lookout for more information heading their way this December.

The development team of Super Smash Bros 4 including Director Masahiro Sakurai introduced the ballot idea in order to provide gamers with a chance to decide which fighter would be the next to join this franchise. The only eligibility criteria of this character are that it should be from a video game and a video game only.

Till now, the release date of Cloud Strife for Super Smash Bros 4 hasn’t been announced. You can check out the trailer which reveals Cloud Strife as the next character in Super Smash Bros 4. Earlier, the third-party characters like Sonic the Hedgehog being included in a Nintendo game was pretty rare.

However, off late, Nintendo hasn’t been shy about putting other characters from different gaming universes, into the Super Smash Bros fray. Meanwhile, the ballot page was taken down after voting ended back in 3rd October. However, looking at the vote, we can be pretty sure that there are more characters to be included in December.
