Nintendo Direct this Thursday was slightly better than expected but Twilight Princess was already leaked before or else it would’ve been better. However, this actually made Cloud Strife stand out more, amidst the crowd. However, it makes no sense for him to be included in a game that is celebrating the best of all Nintendo console games.
Logically speaking, he should be the very last character to be included in the Super Smash Bros 4 universe. His inclusion actually represents the fact that third parties are abandoning Nintendo and they are slowly falling from grace.
In the end however, Nintendo has managed to survive and the hype and popularity involving Super Smash Bros clearly shows that. Earlier, Nintendo was mocked to have been designed for kids only but things have changed since then and you no longer notice any such type of allegations.
However, Nintendo is no longer seen as a direct rival and other companies seem a lot more interested in accepting their greatness. These rivals are quite satisfied that Nintendo’s faults will be enough to prevent them from becoming a major factor again. If Nintendo keeps going like this, you might see Master Chief being included as a character in Super Smash Bros.
