Callie and Arizona Get Into a Custody Battle In Grey’s Anatomy Season 12, McKidd Teases Intense Drama!

Grey’s Anatomy has been around for a very long time and even though there have been critics trying to cancel the show and tarnish its reputation, the series has continued and is soon going to see the finale of Season 12.

The finale of Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 had shocked the fans since they saw beloved Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) being killed off in an accident. There are rumors that the finale of Season 12 of Grey’s Anatomy might see something similar.

Design & Trend has reported that executive producer, Shonda Rhimes has planned to kill off another character in Season 12 finale. Report has it that the person who is going to be killed off this time is likely to be Dr. Webber (James Pickens Jr.). He is one of the very few original cast members, but it looks like Rhimes feels that his story arc has become stagnant and there’s nothing happening there.

There are some reports doing the rounds that suggests that the finale of Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 might see Dr. Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) being killed off. There’s no shift in the story arc of Andrew. He had started off hooking up with Maggie (Kelly McCreary), but then that didn’t turn out well.

Apart from Webber and Andrew, there is also a chance that Kyle (Wilmer Valderrama), a recurring patient in the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, might also die since he has been diagnosed of a serious illness.

Kyle had gone through a surgery in the previous episode, but it looks like he has to go under the knife once again. Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) had broken up with him through a letter in the previous episode and in case of his death, she is going to be devastated.

She has already been struggling with her decision to break up with him since she felt that it was affecting her career in medicine. However, Stephanie clearly has feelings for him and a letter stating that the two will break up, changes nothing. Stephanie has always had trouble keeping her personal and professional life separate and she is going to be hit by a bullet in case Kyle dies.

Kevin McKidd, who plays the role of Dr. Owen Hunt in Grey’s Anatomy Season 12, has informed that episode 22 is going to be an emotional roller-coaster ride. The episode will see Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Callie (Sara Ramirez) go head to head at court for the custody battle of their daughter, Sofia (Eva Ariel Binder).

McKidd has directed the episode and he said that it was an intense experience shooting the courtroom drama since these were the same people who were once in love with each other. Callie and Arizona are loved by the viewers and it is hard for them to pick a side and watch the other person break down.

The whole hospital has been divided because of the custody battle and it is disheartening to see the whole unity fall through. The ex-wives have asked each of their friends to give testimony on behalf of them. While Callie has Meredith and Owen with her, Arizona only has Weber fighting for her.

There are glimpses in the trailer where it looks like Callie and Arizona seem to be connecting with each other, but the interference of the lawyers makes things bad. According to International Business Times, there is almost a scope of a reconciliation between Callie and Arizona, but the lawyers intervene and spoil things.
