Agent Carter was first introduced in Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011. She might not have any special powers, but she has repeatedly been shown in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Ant-Man and even Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. For those who aren’t aware of who Peggy Carter is, she was the love interest of Steve Rogers, who is now known as Captain America.
The second season of Agent Carter Season 2 is heading towards sorting out the mystery of the scientist and the movie star Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett). Agent Carter (Hayley Atwell) got only five minutes to interrogate Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan) before Chief Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray) comes up to send her to Los Angeles on another case.
Agent Carter has found a huge clue that might help her prove that Whitney Frost is the nemesis. However, Dottie isn’t very willing to help her out. Agent Carter has found out a pin from the car of an employee from the Isodyne Energy.
The pin is the same that Dotti was attempting to steal from the safe box. This is not all, the pin has the same symbol as that of the club where Frost’s husband Calvin Chadwick (Currie Graham), is a member of.
Agent Carter wants to work with the Russian spy, but she is also aware of the potential threat of working with her. Dottie being an SSR agent has absolutely no emotion and empathy. She is dangerous and can easily kill to save her own self.
In spite of all the danger, Agent Carter knows that Dottie is very valuable and the two of them are aware of the psychological war between them.
This is Peggy aka Agent Carter’s most dangerous assignment. She has to stop an atomic threat and must travel from New York to Los Angeles. The assignment will reveal that behind the colorful glittering world of Hollywood lies a dangerous world that she has to fight against in order to protect everything that she holds dear to her.
Peggy ends up having information that might put even her boss Chief Jack Thompson into trouble. In order to safeguard himself, Chief Thompson lands up in Los Angeles.
He is aware of the fact that Peggy has some information that will work against him and he is out to do everything possible to stop her and this is going to make things very interesting to watch between the two characters.
Agent Carter Season 2 will see Dominic Cooper back as Howard Stark. The charm of the character doesn’t work as well it did in Agent Carter Season 1, but he has the ability to make any situation workable and this makes watching him a treat. The show might not be as funny as the movie produced by Marvel, but the scenes between Atwell, D’Arcy and Cooper are brilliant and a treat to watch.
Agent Carter Season 2 has brought in some amazing villains for Agent Carter to fight against. Both Chadwick and Frost are brilliant in their portrayal of the character.
Frost uses her talent as an actor to manipulate and hide things from the viewers that works in the favor of her character.
She highlights the issues of how women were underestimated. The interesting scene was when the Zero Matter went inside her and the manner in which the crack on her forehead grows after it had absorbed the male admirer.
