2016 Apple MacBook Pro: Latest Updates and Rumors, Device Might Be Solar Powered, Likely to Hit the Market by March!

Rumors keep on building around the highly anticipated 2016 MacBook Pro from the Apple stable and the latest suggest that Apple might make the device solar powered.

It was reported that Apple has acquired a solar power related patent and this has sparked rumors that the upcoming iteration of MacBook Pro might be solar powered. Apparently, the MacBook Pro is not going to be the only device that boasts this feature as the tech giant will reportedly use the technology in a number of upcoming notebooks and laptops.

If this rumor turns out to be true, users can expect to see the solar power technology in the upcoming 2016 MacBook Air too. However, there has been no confirmation from Apple regarding the matter as of yet.

It is also being rumored that the Cupertino-based company might also release a 12-inch version of the 2016 MacBook Pro alongside the 13 inch and the 15 inch versions. The 13 inch and the 15 inch 2016 MacBook Pros are likely to come with screen resolutions of 2560 x 1600 pixels and 2880 x 1800 pixels respectively.

The upcoming line of MacBook Pros will have more powerful processors than their predecessors. The current series of MacBook Pros that are available in the market packs 14-nm Broadwell-Y Core M processors under the hood and it is being speculated that Apple will incorporate 14-nm core m5/m7 chips into the upcoming MacBook Pros which will enable them to provide users with a better performance compared to their predecessors.

The 2016 MacBook Pro will come equipped with the latest Force Touch Trackpad. In this technology certain sensors are installed within the device and these sensors work towards differentiating the amount of pressures that users apply while touching the screen.

The Force Touch technology is an enhanced and upgraded version of the already existing Multi Touch technology. This technology will enable users to acquire a feeling of everything that is going on in the screen of the device using the tips of their fingers.

The device will be slimmer and will have an improved battery life compared to its predecessor. It will have 8GB or 16Gb of 1600MHz LPDDR3 RAM accompanied with Intel HD Graphics 5300. HDMI and VGA capabilities will be offered through the USB Type-C port that the device will feature. The port will also provide the device with the features of USB 3.1 and DisplayPort 1.2. It will also be used to offer power to the device.

It was previously reported that the 2016 MacBook Pro will run on the OS X El Capitan and will house the latest offering from the house of Intel- the Skylake-U processor.

The Retina Display that the device will feature will work towards providing users with a display that does not create strain on their eyes.

It will decrease the amount of glare of the screen without compromising the vivid colors and the quality of the display. Users will be able to get a wide 178-degree view of the screen via the IPS technology of the device.

Some earlier reports had stated that the device will be unveiled during the Christmas holidays of 2015. However, it did not happen as Apple abstained from releasing the device in the previous year. The latest rumors are stating that the 2016 MacBook Pro might finally see the light of the day during an Apple event which is scheduled to be held in March.
