While the performance is undeniably smooth, it is not as fast as the more expensive flagships, but then again that’s the whole point of the budget price. The MIUI 6 user interface is memory hog and you’ll be left with 1GB of memory on boot.
According to Xiaomi, they worked closely with Qualcomm in order to ensure that the device doesn’t overheat. However, it does tend to get warm after running processor-intensive tasks for a long time but then again, what doesn’t? The device includes the standard suite of connectivity options with a dual-standby, dual-SIM slot and compatibility with 4G LTE connectivity.
However, in some other markets like US, it’s limited to HSPA+ connectivity on the T-Mobile and AT&T network. The images clicked by the Mi 4i appear sharp and crisp, especially due to Xiaomi’s Advanced HDR Mode. The manual control options have been added in adequate doses without anything too overwhelming.
