Fans of the popular anime, Attack on Titan Season 2 are left waiting. Ever since the first season of Attack on Titan came to an end they have been wanting to know when the second season will be aired.
There were rumors that Attack on Titan Season 2 is going to be released sometime around March-April of 2016, but then that didn’t happen. The fans are now hoping for the second season being released by the end of this year.
It looks like the work on Attack on Titan Season 2 has been stalled. There is a deal between the creator of the original manga, Hajime Isayama and the director of Attack on Titan, Tetsuro Araki that the anime cannot be started unless the original is four story arcs away. The original manga is only two story arcs away and hence the work has been stopped on the anime.
Tetsuro Araki had thought of proceeding with original content, but that isn’t going to happen since the reason for the popularity of Attack on Titan is because it is so true to the manga. While talking to Bessatsu Shonen magazine, Araki has said that he has to be extra cautious when he adapts the manga into the anime since the storyline is impressive and it is almost a cultural undertaking.
Ever since Attack on Titan Season 1 came to an end, viewers have been curious to find out what’s in store for their favorite characters. Christian Post has reported that there is a leaked video that throws some light on what fans can expect from Attack on Titan Season 2.
Rumored to be a part of the second season, the leaked video shows the Titans hiding in the walls. This has created a lot of curiosity about how the Titans could enter the walls in the first place.
There is a rumor that has lately been doing the rounds and it hints at the fact that Attack on Titan Season 2 isn’t being postponed since there is not enough material to start work with. Fans of the manga know that the first two story arcs that has already been dealt with in the original manga, Clash of Titans and Uprising, have enough matter with which the anime can be started.
There are reports that the whole team has been busy with some other series and hence they couldn’t start work on Attack on Titan Season 2. The team that is going to work on Attack on Titan Season 2 is in fact working on Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.
The fans had been scared that with the team focusing on Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, Attack of Titan Season 2 might be cancelled. However, that doesn’t seem likely since the show has a huge fan following.
With no news forthcoming about the upcoming season, fans have started speculating on what they can expect in Attack on Titan Season 2. There are reports suggesting that Levi Ackerman will die in the coming season.
A large section of his squad was killed off in Season 1 and he is also going to follow suit while protecting the Shinganshina trio- Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert and ErenYaeger.
Christian Post has reported that Attack on Titan Season 2 will show more of the Survey Corps and it will focus on the arc dealing with the fall of the Wall Sina. This aspect will bring in details from the past of the mighty Titans.
