Tim Murphy has said that Nic Pizzolatto is brave enough to even come out with second season of True Detective. He feels that it takes a lot of gut to come up with a second season that is completely different from the first season.
Tim Murphy told HuffPostUK that although season 2 of True Detective suffered a huge set back when it comes to popularity, there is no justification about that. The two seasons are distinctly different in their feel and it is unfair for the fans to compare them to each other.
The season was based on the war between three separate departments of the police. The second season saw the characters Taylor Kitsch, Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn and Rachel McAdams. Tim Murphy plays the role of a Russian gangster Osip Agronov.
Murphy talked about how the role came to him. He was contacted by the producers a month before the start of the shooting and since the producers didn’t want any deals to be leaked he had received only the parts which had his role in it.
