Tom Hiddleston Claims that This Might Be His Last Appearance in a Marvel Franchise, Unsure of His Role in The Avengers: Infinity Wars!

Ragnarok is going to be the third and final standalone film on Thor, the Norse God. With this being the final instalment, fans are hoping that Marvel Studio will give its all to develop the film and make up for the disaster that was Thor: The Dark World.

The Dark World was one of the worst films to have released in Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and not even the fun interaction between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) could save the film.

Thor: Ragnarok, as the name suggests, is going to deal with an apocalypse that might see the end of Asgard. Ragnarok in Norse means an apocalypse and the film showcases the Fire God Sutur come forward to attack and destroy the planet of Asgard. The film is likely to release in November.

Games Radar has already reported that Thor 3 is going to be very different from a typical sequel. Kevi Feige, the president of Marvel Studio had informed the fans that the third movie in the Thor franchise might be a sequel that will not have anything to do with the previous two instalments. It will have a story that will be completely different and will not pick from where Thor: The Dark World had ended.

There are rumors that Thor 3 is going to follow the path of the Captain America films and will be as different as Winter Soldier was from the first instalment of Captain America.

The complete re-haul of the plot is because this time round, Thor will be seen with Hulk. With the whole Marvel Universe turning against each other during the Civil War, Hulk and Thor will be joining forces.

The exact story of Thor 3 hasn’t been revealed yet and Marvel is being careful to let the hype surrounding it, continue. However, the fans can get a few hints from the film’s title. Hemsworth has gone ahead to state that the film is going to try and make Thor and Loki feel like fish out of water.

There are three things that might be involved in Thor 3. Firstly, Thor had noticed something while taking a bath in front of Stellan Skarsgaard in Avengers: Age of Ultron, which ultimately caused him to leave the Avengers.

Secondly, in Thor: The Dark World, Loki had taken the throne of Asgard pretending to be Odin. Thirdly, why did Hulk come and join Thor suddenly at the end of Age of Ultron? Fans are hopeful that Thor3 answers all these questions since that will answer all the queries in the last standalone film of Thor Ragnarok.

This, however, doesn’t look like a possibility since Kevin Fiege had said that the film will be completely different from the other three installments and in that case it will not be able to answer the questions left unanswered in those films.

Mark Ruffalo has informed Empire that Thor 3 will be almost like a road-trip, but it will take place largely in space since very little aspect of the film will take place on Earth. Although it isn’t the classic road-trip movie, it will have a similar structure.

There are rumors suggesting that Thor 3 might witness the death of Thor. However, this isn’t likely since Chris Hemsworth is contract bound to act in three more Marvel movies.

According to Movie Pilot, after the Ragnarok cycle, Thor goes into a limbo like stage of hibernation where he is believed to be dead by the Avengers. The hammer, Mjölnir was found on Earth and it was handed over to the US Army.
