The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a major contender for the Game of the Year title by CD Projekt Red and this is partly because of its amazing soundtrack. Most of songs belonging to this title were played on stage by Polish Folk-Metal band Perccival.
The news was received by Design & Trend via BlindSniperGigz on YouTube according to what was recorded by Nomad. By attending this event, the recorder was able to capture the sounds of Witcher 3 like never been heard before. In case of you are unaware; Perccival is actually responsible for most of the game’s wide open Celtic soundscrapes.
The particular gathering was mainly intended for celebrating the launch of CD Projekt RED’s epic RPG experience but due to mottled translation, the exact details still remain unspecific. Meanwhile, if you look closely at the crowd, you will find that some of the members of the audience look like Geralt, Ciri and the remaining characters.
The entire show goes on for an hour but there are sub-sections available in the source YouTube page which lets you jump to separate songs as well. A great deal of atmosphere is offered by the soundtracks in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, depending upon the location in the open-world you is currently in. There are region-specific songs depending upon the location that you are in, for example, City of Intrigues.
Meanwhile, there are other soundtracks which get triggered when performing certain actions on the screen. There are a host of themes that will start playing when Geralt is on the hunt and there are some which start during fierce battles or mini-games. Witcher 3 has been critically appreciated worldwide in a positive manner and the performance clearly points out the musical balance that helped it achieve that.
Percival has been playing music since 2007 and the name of this band is derived from Percival Schuttenbach. Those who are deeply connected to the Witcher novel series will remember him as a dwarf character that has his own dedicated section in the lore.
However, if you have just been playing the games, there will hardly be any mention of him. Every copy of the game includes the Witcher 3 soundtrack and furthermore, an extended version is hinted to be released on iTunes and Spotify.
The Witcher franchise creator, CD Projekt RED recently declared that all 16 DLCs of the game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is presently available for download on any platform. According to Marcin Iwiński, co-founder of CD Projekt Red, they have been releasing free DLCs since the launch of this title and the recent release of New Game+ which is the 16th and also the last of them was a special moment for the team.
He further hoped that this holds true for all Wild Hunt fans as well. I think it does Marcin, no doubt about that. Witcher 3 is a game that was greatly supported on all the various platforms in which it is playable and this is one of the main reasons why people are in love with this title.
According to Marcin, gamers can now restart their adventure and notice how the story turns out if they make different choices in the game, compared to the first time they played it. Marcin added, “I’d like to extend my thanks to all the gamers who played our game and gave these DLCs a try.
Nothing makes a developer happier than seeing gamers have fun with what they created.” Furthermore, he declared that initiatives like this should become an industry standard instead of being an exception to the general rule and he further hoped that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has set an amazing example.
