The previous season saw Liz learning about her mother’s association with the KGB. She also realized that The Cabal was after her and they were threatening her whole team. When Liz went ahead to face Tom Connolly who had been calling the shots for a while now, she ended up murdering the man.
Fans who have loved watching Mr. Vargas are in for a treat. Paul Reuben is going to be back for The Blacklist Season 3. He will be one of the associates of Red and he is going to be there in the upcoming season for at least three episodes. With the entire show based on the secret between Liz and Red, it is important for some characters like Vargas who brings in diversity to the plot and livens it up a little.
Jon Bokenkamp, the executive producer of the show has said that the first thing that Liz and Red are going to do is to leave Washington D.C. The city is capable of complete lockdown and that is what they have to escape and things don’t happen as smoothly as they would want it to happen.
