In an email correspondence between Sony executives, it was revealed that Australians find it cheesy to have jokes and corny humour in an action movie. As part of the hacked emails from Sony that were released by Wikileaks a few weeks ago, it is revealed what an Australian focus group thought before the release of the 2014 Amazing Spider-Man 2.
After The Amazing Spider-Man 2 couldn’t salvage the position of the web-swinging hero, Sony and Marvels have decided to take things into their own hands. Marvel and Sony are thinking of including Spider-Man in the Avengers and for this they need to make the superhero popular on his own. There are plans of the two studios coming together to make The Amazing Spider-Man 3 the best Spider-Man movie.
President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, has said that Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will be played by Peter Parker and not his successor Miles Morales. Marvel is looking for a younger Peter Parker since the story will focus on his high school life.
31-year-old Andrew Garfield will not be reprising his role. Marvel and Sony are still looking for an actor who will fill in the role of the high school nerd and the superhero with equal ease. Marvel Studios is also going to include the new Spider-Man in other Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 3 movies- Captain America: Civil War and Avengers.
There is a lot of speculation on the supposed story for The Amazing Spider-Man 3. Feige, who is himself a big Spider-Man fan, has confirmed that they will deal with Peter Parker’s school life. It is this aspect of his that makes him different from the other superheroes in the Marvel’s universe, and they are keen on focusing on this aspect.
The life of a superhero as a highs school nerd opens up scope for a lot of dynamics. There are different characters to deal with and also Peter Parker’s emotional front. In the earlier films, Peter Parker would graduate early from school, but The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will emphasize on that aspect of his life.
