The developers of Tekken 7, Bandai Namco has released a brand new trailer for the game which provides fans with some insights regarding the Rage Attack that will be featured in the game. This special power will be possessed by all the characters in the upcoming game. Bandai Namco had previously stated that they are reworking the Rage System in Tekken 7.
Apparently, the Rage System will be enhanced and characters will take less time for building up Rage. A shorter time required for building up Rage means that players will be able to use the special attacks more often.
In the new video released by Bandai Namco, the developers show off some new aspects of the Rage System that will be found in the upcoming game. The concept of Rage Attack is being added to the game which will be a new feature in the Tekken series. This new feature shares reminiscence to Enhanced Moves of Mortal Kombat and EX Moves of Street Fighter.
These rage attacks will be enhanced versions of the standard set of moves and will be much more powerful and devastating compared to them. The attacks will deal increased amount of damage to opponents and leave them in a dazed state.
However, it should be noted that one of the prominent additions to the game, Street Fighter famed Akuma will not have access to these Rage Attacks. He will be operating like a standard SF character and will have access to the moves that he has in the Street Fighter series. Some famous moves of Akuma like Gohadoken, Goshoryuken, and Shun Goku Satsu will be usable by players in Tekken 7 while playing with him.
Tekken 7 will be the first game in the Tekken series that will make use of the Unreal Engine 4. Players will have the freedom to choose from around 28 different characters to play with in the arcade version of the game. It will feature a number of brand new aspects that include new characters, new fight modes, new outfits and new stages.
Akuma, Lucky Chloe, Shaheen, Josie Rizal, Jack-7, Claudio Serafino, Kazumi Mishima and Katarina Alves are some of the new characters that will feature in the upcoming game. Various reports claim that the story of Tekken 7 will focus on the Mishima family. Fans will find answers to various questions regarding Heihachi’s wife and the Devil gene within the game.
The latest video of the game which was released by Bandai Namco confirmed the return of Nina Williams to the game. Nina Williams, a female character that has featured in earlier iterations of Tekken will make a comeback to the franchise with Tekken 7.
The video shows off Akuma’s moves and also reveals that while playing with Akuma, players will have the ability to cancel move animations to prolong combos. The character will also feature the EX meter.
In a previous announcement, Bandai Namco had stated that they will begin the Location Tests of the Fated Retribution update in Japan on 12th February and it will continue till 14th February. The locations where these tests will be held include the Namco Sugamo in Tokyo, Namco’s Hakata Bus Terminal arcade located in Fukuoka and Round One Stadium Sennichimae arcade in Osaka.
However, it should be noted that the developers are yet to begin the development process of the console version of the game. It is likely that the development process of the game for consoles will begin after the conclusion of the tests. The developers will definitely keep the feedbacks from fans from the tests in mind while developing the console version of Tekken 7.
Fated Retribution will contain several new outfits for a number of characters that include Hwoarang, Feng Wei, Steve Fox, Alisa, Asuka, King, Dragunov, Xiaoyu, Bryan Fury and Paul Phoenix.
