However, these rumors and speculations were recently shot down by Michael Murray when he stated that Akuma is the only Street Fighter character that will be added to the game, for the moment. He went on to add that the idea of inclusion of guest characters in Tekken games has never gone down well with both himself and Katsuhiro Harada.
According to him, the inclusion of guest characters in Tekken games somewhat distorts the original setting of the game. However, Akuma is one character who seemed to meet all the requirements to be included in Tekken universe and thus the developers went ahead and decided to incorporate him in Tekken 7.
He also made a mention about all the positive reactions from fans that this particular decision has been able to garner.
Akuma will be included in the game as a henchman for HeihachiMishima’s wife Kazumi. Apparently, Kazumi will send him on a mission to hunt down his husband and then kill him incase Kazumi herself couldn’t do it.
It was also reported that the game might come with the support for Virtual Reality. The PlayStation 4 version of Tekken 7 will reportedly be compatible with the upcoming PlayStation VR handset.
Harada recently stated on Twitter that the expected price tag of the PlayStation VR should be anywhere between the $300-$400 mark. However, the official price of the device has not been revealed by Sony as of yet.
