However, Rodriguez clarified that she had no problem with the inclusion of Cara Delevingne in the upcoming movie. She even stated that if indeed the model is included in the film, it would be nice to work with her.

Yibada even reported that it was Rodriguez herself who recommended the name of Cara Delevingne to be included in the cast for the movie. The site also reported that Helen Mirren might also make an appearance in Fast 8.

The official poster of the movie was earlier revealed by Vin Diesel in his Instagram account. The image had the famous Empire State Building in its backdrop which gave confirmation to the fact that a part of the movie will be shot in the city of New York.

It was previously reported that the filmmakers want to shoot a part of the movie in Cuba. Apparently, they are currently trying to obtain permissions from the US and the Cuban government in this regard.

Eva Mendez who played the role of Monica Fuentes in 2 Fast 2 Furious will reportedly come back to reprise the role for the upcoming movie.

Apart from all the above-mentioned names, the film will also star Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris. It will be directed by F. Gary Gray. Fast and Furious 8 will hit the big screen on April 15, 2017.
