Super Smash Bros 4: Details on Cloud Strife DLC Coming with December Nintendo Direct Broadcast, Rumors Continue About Shovel Knight’s Appearance!

Major details regarding the upcoming Cloud Strife DLC are set to be revealed at the final presentation of the game. The game’s publishers, Nintendo stated in its official Twitter account that the final presentation for Super Smash Bros 4 will be unveiled at the Nintendo Direct which will air on 12/15 at 2 p.m.

  1. Mashahiro Sakurai, the director of the game will also be present at the live broadcast to discuss various aspects of the game.After a long wait, fans will finally be updated with latest news related to the characters that will be added to the game through an upcoming DLC.

Previously, it was announced by the developers that Cloud Strife, the protagonist of the popular game Final Fantasy VII will be added to the Super Smash Bros 4 roster through the DLC. Since then fans have been eagerly waiting for fresh release updates about this character.

Sakurai stated in an interview that more news regarding Cloud Strife is headed towards fans at the December Broadcast and it will be revealed personally by him.

It is being assumed that the results of the Smash Ballot will also be announced during the livestream. Nintendo held a poll for third party characters that fans would want to see incorporated into the game in future.

This online poll began in the April and the last vote was cast in the month of October. It has been quite some time since the conclusion of voting process but the results of the poll have not yet been declared by Nintendo. Thus fans are expecting that the results will finally be declared at the December broadcast of Nintendo Direct.

Certain rumors are stating that some other characters that are not from the Nintendo universe will show up in the game through the upcoming update and these include characters like- Sorafrom the Kingdom Hearts series, Goku from Dragon Ball Z, Rayman from Ubisoft’sRayman and Street Fighter famed Ryu.

Alongside new characters the DLC will also reportedly bring new stages to the game. In related news, at a recently released trailer for the game, Cloud Strife was seen showing off his cool moves in a fight scene which appeared to be taking place at a location that looked similar to the City of Midgar location of Final Fantasy VII. This could indicate that fans can expect a City of Midgar stage added to the game via the expansion pack.

Some of the in-game moves and skills of Cloud Strife were shown off at the previously released trailer. He wields his trademark huge sword as the main weapon and players will be able to use his special abilities like the Odin Summon, Omnislash and Limit Break in Super Smash Bros 4.

This is going to be the first time that a Final Fantasy character is about to set foot in the world of Super Smash Bros games and thus his inclusion might come as a surprise to some fans.

According to a renowned website the price tag that the Cloud Strife DLC will bring with itself will be announced at the December broadcast. A specific release date for the upcoming DLC might also be revealed at the upcoming livestream event.

Apart from news related to Super Smash Bros 4, Sakurai might also come up with some updates on the Nintendo NX. The Nintendo NX is an upcoming console from the Nintendo stable. The developers claim that this console will provide gamers with a completely new and unique gaming experience. It is expected to hit the market by the second half of the next year.
