Frank had been planning to kill off his future son-in-law, Sean, but he instead gets cheated on by the guy he asks for help. The viewers knew that Frank will never be able to pull off a murder since he was a coward.
Given how low Fiona’s life had been taken since Season 4, viewers were hoping that the girl might get some happiness, but when Frank appears at the wedding in a tuxedo, viewers knew that things could only go downhill from there.
With Fiona’s marriage to Sean breaking, Season 7 of Shameless will focus on Fiona leading the life of a single woman. She has failed in love a lot in the recent past and it is time that she leads a normal life where she can grow. Nancy Pimental, the executive producer of Shameless, talked about Fiona’s character in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
She said that when someone is in their early 20s, it is easier to make mistakes and move from one guy to another, but things need to change when one reaches their late 20s. The same thing stops being cute and adorable. This is the premise that Season 7 of Shameless will focus on. It will show the Gallagher family growing up and taking a hold of their life.
