Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8 Shipped To India for Evaluation, Hardware Specifications Revealed!

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8 was earlier rumored to have been released in India for verification and testing purposes. After the evaluation process is complete, the official release date could be close by. The leaked information was noticed regarding the shipping of import and export items from South Korea to India through an Indian website known as Zauba. All this means a potential test-running and evaluation of the hardware specifications of this device.

The new Samsung tablet will compete with the Apple iPad Air 2 features and emphasize on the size. The speculations indicate that S2 will sport an ultra slim design slate and come with good battery power. It will be a mere 6.1mm in thickness for the 8-inch model and weigh around 260 gm. The 9.7 inch model will be possibly heavier.

One of the best features of this device is its big Super AMOLED display that will produce the sharpest images and animations on the S2. Sadly, the display resolution seems to have been brought down from 2560×1600 to 2048×1536, which is the latest info on most of Samsung’s tablets. However, according to Sammobile, it won’t be making a difference. The only disadvantage remains that the screen will be offered at a 4:3 resolution instead of the standard widescreen.

An insider report to Sammobile shows that the device will feature an Exynos 5433 processor with possible upgrades, as the initial Android Operating system would be v5.0.2. The device will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage expandable to 128GB using a microSD card. The battery life for these devices will be 3,580 mAH and 5,870 mAh respectively.

Both of the S2 variants will have an 8-megapixel camera along with a 2.1MP front shooter. Sammobile also declared that both models will feature a metallic design. It’s not sure whether the back case or the frame is going to be metallic in nature. Reports from The Latino Post state that Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8 will be released during the summer months of this year.
