Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Cases Leaked, Design Indicates the Absence of a microSD Card Slot and Removable Battery!

The expectations involving Samsung Galaxy Note 5 are increasing day by day as the launch date draws closer and rumors start gaining momentum. Recently, we witnessed leaked images of its supposed case and this has unearthed a major surprise for Samsung fans.

Firstly, Samsung might have discarded two useful features that were seen in the Note series earlier. Samsung is getting ready to launch the XL versions of the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge. It should be known as the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 but recent rumors indicate that it could go by a different name like Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

Earlier, people were confused regarding the possible design of this upcoming device and how will it look overall. The recent leaked photos of its case have given us the impression of a similarity to the familiar Samsung Galaxy S6 design.

According to reports by South Korean Website Sogi, through GSM Dome, the Galaxy Note 5 could be launched in August 2015. Samsung enjoys the tendency of unveiling its latest flagship Note devices at the IFA event. This year, the annual event is scheduled to kick off on 4th September in Berlin. Two images of Galaxy Note 5 cases surfaced online and they seem quite identical to the regular sized S6 and S6 Edge.

However, you will notice two cut-outs located at the bottom of these cases, which will probably serve as the S-Pen housing. The images are correct as they were revealed by Romanian Accessory Maker, MobileDirect, who is known for accurately leaking devices in the past.

Meanwhile, French website nowhereelse.fr has obtained the leaked image renders of Samsung Galaxy Note 5. From the looks of it, the device will feature an angular frame, upgraded fingerprint sensor, glass back, additional angular lines of S6’s brilliant camera and bottom edge speakers.

While the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 promises many worthy upgrades over its predecessor, there is still reason for Samsung fans to be disappointed. This is because, the inclusion of a glass-back means Samsung will discard the microSD card slot and the battery won’t be removable as well. Take a look at the rumored specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 below.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will feature a 5.98inch 4K Quad-HD display. Under the hood, it will sport an Exynos 7422 processor and a huge 4100mAh battery. It will also come equipped with an USB Type-C port which is also supposed to be included in the upcoming OnePlus Two.

  1. End of the ride for the Note series now with out the replaceable battery and SD slot. Too bad. I thought they would keep these at least on the Note for the more business style power user. An who ever sees the back of their phone when it has to stay in a case to keep it in decent shape for a couple years.

  2. Yes Alan. Better start looking elsewhere. What are other smartphones out there that has removable battery and microsd cards?
