Robert Kirkman Reveals His Reason for Leaving Transformers 5, Michael Bay Not Directing Anymore Transformers Films!

Michael Bay wrapped up 13 Hours: The Secret Soldier of Benghazi and agreed to Paramount Pictures’ request of directing Transformers 5. Paramount Pictures knows that they will need Michael Bay’s magic touch to make Transformers 5 a better film than Transformers 4: Age of Extinction.

However, Michael Bay has made it very clear that he will not be directing any more Transformers films after the upcoming one. He said that he is given a lot to the franchise and it is now time to move on and hand over the reins to another person. J.J. Abrams has gone on record to state that Michael Bay is the best person for the job, but Michael Bay knows that Star Wars could get a new lease of life in the hands of Abrams after having been made by George Lucas, the same is possible with the Transformers franchise as well.

Paramount Pictures has plans of spin-offs from the franchise and they have already decided on the spin-off with Bumblebee in it. The yellow Autobot is a favorite of the fans and the studio knows that they will be able to make a successful film with the character. For now, the spin-off with Bumblebee is slated for a 2018 release after Transformers 5 in 2017.
