OnePlus Mini, also known as OnePlus X is a rumored budget smartphone by the Chinese company and it has been leaked through a number of images and they have surfaced on the internet. This comes besides a listing on the US FCC certification website.

The company will have an event on Monday in Bangalore and this leak comes ahead of it. Rumors indicate that the new OnePlus X device will be showcased in this event. According to the US FCC listing, the new device from OnePlus will come with the model number E1005.

Further reports suggest that the new model will run on a 1.9GHz processor and will come with various other options like Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, FM radio, quad-band GSM and 4G LTE bands like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8. The first leaked image appears to have been collected from the US FCC by PhoneScoop and it further displays the smartphone beside a scale while tipping the measurements.

Keep in mind that the measurements are not properly visible, so the length and breadth of the OnePlus X still remains unknown. From the looks of it, the device should be 140mm in length and 70mm in width. The top-left corner of the device comes with the rear camera, the company logo is placed at the centre, antenna breaks are located along the side panel, and dual-speaker grilles are present while a Micro-USB connector is located at the bottom.

In the second image, you can see the front panel of the smartphone. Nothing can be confirmed at the moment due to the grainy nature of the image. Invites or the Monday announcement has already been sent out by OnePlus for the event to take place at Bengaluru, India.

It was further confirmed by the invite that Vikas Agarwal, GM India, OnePlus and Pete Lau, CEO and Founder, OnePlus will both be present at the event. According to the invite named, “The Next Big Step”, the company will most possibly announce some India-specific partnerships.

Furthermore, there is a possibility that the Chinese handset maker will further introduce the OnePlus X or the OnePlus Mini at this event. According to the recent leak, the device should be priced around $250 which is around Rs.16, 500 in Indian currency.

According to the preliminary leaks, the device will come with a MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795T under the hood and it will include 32GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. The device will also have a 5inch IPS display with a full-HD resolution of 1080×1920 pixels screen resolution.

It will be further protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 or 4 cover and comes with hydrophobic and oleophobic coating on the top. There will be a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 camera on the front which comes with features like 4k video recording, dual-tone LED flash and f/2.0 aperture.

Rumors further indicate the presence of a 5 megapixel camera on the front. Juice will be provided by a 3000-3100mAh non-removable battery along with the USB Type-C port. The leaked images further indicate that the OnePlus X will come with a fingerprint scanner on the back panel, instead of the Home Button, unlike OnePlus 2.

Till 9th October, reports indicate that the OnePlus Mini might not be named like that after all and instead, it will be changed to OnePlus X. A teaser image was discovered in CEO of OnePlus, Carl Pei’s personal website. The image clearly shows a map that comes with colored lines which result in an X shape. Keep in mind that this is not solid confirmation so you better take it with a grain of salt.

Meanwhile, we saw the ClearForce-ready Synaptics S3708 touchscreen controller being used by the Xiaomi Mi 4C and the upcoming OnePlus X could be using the same. However, a full ClearForce support seems a bit far-fetched in case of the mid-ranger device.
