OnePlus, the Chinese mobile manufacturing company has been using the invite system for quite a long time, ever since the release of their first smartphone.
The company probably used this method as a process of protection as it ensured that they are not making too many devices which won’t get sold. However, OnePlus were really frustrated with this invite system.
This is because, purchasing this device through the invite system meant that you will need to take part in promotions in order to get the invite.
At the same time, you could have also received the invitation from a friend who has finally managed to get his/her hands on the phone. Thankfully, the second OnePlus flagship will not be invite-free forever.
Meanwhile, OnePlus is pretty grateful to their fans and will celebrate the second anniversary of their company on 17th December.
The owners of OnePlus 2 and OnePlus One are definitely members of the family since people have limited access to these devices and it was quite difficult to get hold of one. In the meantime, OnePlus released their third device, known as OnePlus X which is quite smaller, compared to its siblings.
Initially, it was rumored that it would come with the name ‘OnePlus Mini’. However, the biggest declaration from OnePlus so far is when they recently announced that people won’t have to use the invite system in order to purchase the OnePlus 2.
The invite system has not gone permanently for the OnePlus 2 and now it is possible for you to purchase any of the two (16GB/64GB) variants of OnePlus 2.
The device features a 5.5inch Full-HD display with 401 ppi pixel density. Under the hood, the device runs on a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 octa core processor (quad-core 1.56 GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57) and comes with 3GB/4GB RAM variants, which depends according to the storage option.
It further features 13MP main camera with OIS, laser autofocus and dual-LED flash and has a secondary 5megapixel camera. In other news, OnePlus X will be design-free until 7th December. It comes with a smaller 5inch AMOLED screen but has a higher pixel density of 441ppi.
There is a 32bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 processor which is backed by 3GB of RAM under the hood. The 13MP camera supports autofocus and phase detection and further sports an 8MP secondary camera. The other deals being offered by OnePlus until 7th December are:
