Zayn Malik left fans aghast with his decision of quitting the British boy band, One Direction. Fans all over the world did not know how they reacted when the news of Malik leaving One Direction was announced. The four other boys, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Niall Horan spoke out exclusively in an interview and said that Zayn’s decision has left them “gutted.”
The boys said that it had been a difficult week for them. One of the most difficult since the band was formed five years ago. They had found it difficult when Zayn left the band, but after performing a few times as a four-member band, they feel a lot more confident.
The remaining four boys are determined to come out of this stronger and better and stay more focused to ensure that One Direction doesn’t lose out on fans.
22-year-old Zayn Malik had announced his decision to quit One Direction on 25th March, on the official Facebook page. He already seems to have been collaborating with producer Naughty Boy for his solo album. The producer seems to have uploaded a demo of what could have possibly been Malik’s next solo number on his Sound Cloud page, but it has since then been removed.
While One Direction members are devastated with the break in the band, they are staying positive and working hard on their On The Road Again tour. Niall said that they were keen on performing for their fans and winning their trust back. One Direction has promised fans a brilliant tour and an even better album.
Zayn Malik has come out to deny reports of a rift with the members and has said that there was no rift between any of the boys, and he did what he felt was right for him. Zayn reported that his decision to quit was taken because he wanted to be a normal 22 year old, who could relax and spend time with family and friends away from the spotlight.
