In other news, just in the recent past, AMD revealed various combinations of hardware that would be compatible with the Oculus Rift. The company focused on the CPU department while making this revelation.
It was previously reported that the company’s FX series CPU and APU would have enough juice in them to function seamlessly with the VR device.
However, in a recent announcement the company backed out on the claim. It stated that while the FX CPU is definitely compatible with the device, the same cannot be said for the APU. It further added that the company is still testing the APU chips with the device and thus cannot confirm anything related to them at the moment.
