Ni No Kuni 2: Will Release Exclusively for the PS4, Likely to Launch on Other Platforms in the Future, And More

This confused fans and the boss of Sony Worldwide Studios, Shushie Yoshida was requested by a fan on social media to shed some light on the matter.

Yoshida replied by stating that the words timed exclusive and platform exclusive were not used to describe the game in the video because there is a chance that the game might make an appearance on other consoles in the future.

His reply came as a shock to some fans considering the fact that the original game which was released as a PS3 exclusive remains so till this date. No other versions of the game have been released by its developers for any other platforms.

It was previously reported that Studio Ghibli may be shutting down business for good. The absence of the studio’s logo from the trailer has further fuelled this rumor.

However, the credits scene revealed the name of Yoshiyuki Momose as the character designer for Ni No Kuni 2. Momose is a part of Studio Ghibli and he was the key animator on films like Spirited away and Porco Rosso.

The presence of his name in the credits could mean that the Studio Ghibli will actually be behind the creation of animation for Ni No Kuni 2.
