The quality is good but Motorola should have offered a Full-HD display by now. The company is probably trying to squeeze in new features with time. At the same time, if you like gaming a lot, expect to face random crashes and freezes. Overall, if you cannot decide which smartphone to buy due to the price versus hardware trend, Motorola Moto G3 is the device you should choose.
In other news, Google’s latest operating system, Android 6.0 Marshmallow is all set to be released on the LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6P on 29th September probably. Reports indicate that budget devices from Motorola will also receive the update but it will come a bit late.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will be released on these Motorola devices: Moto X Style (aka Moto X Pure Edition in US), Moto X Play, Moto X (2014), and Droid Turbo (aka Moto Turbo in India) by the end of December 2015 or early 2016. However, the Moto G 3rd Generation and the Moto G 2nd generation are expected to receive it much later.
A report by TechGadgetCentral indicates that Moto G3 should get the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update in the next few months. However, we are still not sure whether the G3 will receive the updated firmware. However, the first users to experience the Android Marshmallow 6.0 are users of Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player when the developer rolls it out.
In the meantime, Motorola offered their smartphones only through Flipkart in India. However, the company recently decided to make it available through a wide range of online and offline retailers with the help of their distribution partner Brightstar India.
