Microsoft Surface Book 2 Launch Expected To Be Delayed Since Intel Kaby Lake Processor And Windows 10 Redstone 2 Is Delayed!

Microsoft had launched the Surface Pro 4 back in October 2015. This has given rise to speculation that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is going to be launched this year along with the Surface Book 2. While this rumor is circulating all over the internet, there are tech experts who feel that Microsoft will not come out with the fifth generation Surface Pro within 12 months of the release of the last one.

Christian Daily has reported that October 2016 will see at least one Microsoft product being launched and there is a chance that it is going to be the Microsoft Surface Book 2. However, this launch could be delayed to the Spring of 2017 since Microsoft has been delaying the release of the second part of the Windows 10 update. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is going to be equipped with the latest Windows 10 update, and hence there is a high chance of the October release date being pushed back.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 was supposed to be powered by the Intel Kaby Lake processor and the Windows 10 Redstone 2. Since neither of these is going to be available before 2017, the release date for Microsoft Surface Book 2 has been automatically pushed back to the first quarter of the next year. The reason for Microsoft wanting to shift to the Intel Kaby Lake processor is that it is going to save the company a lot of money by boosting the capabilities.

Microsoft doesn’t want to use latest sixth-gen Skylake chips that are being used by many of the manufacturers of smart devices. The company has decided to wait for a longer time to come out with the Microsoft Surface Book 2 to use the 7th gen Kaby Lake chips.

The move has been decided in mind that the users of the Microsoft product will appreciate the powerful and battery efficient product even if they have to wait longer to lay their hands on it.

The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is going to be one of the most powerful PC tablets that will be present in the market next year. The specs are sure to be better than the Surface Book since it is an update. The specs haven’t been revealed yet, but rumors suggest that the Microsoft Surface Book 2 is going to have a RAM of 16GB, with a 500GB internal storage and a 4K display.

The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is going to have an iconic hinge which will enable the keyboard to be detached. The battery life is also going to be far better and is expected to continue without charge for almost 8 hours during active use. Microsoft Surface Book 2 is going to have the Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M or a faster graphics card of GeForce GTX 980.

The first Surface Book was released with a 13.5-inch PixelSense display with 2000X3000 resolution. It had the sixth generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processor.

The Surface Book had four variants, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB and 1TB storage options. It is expected that the Surface Book 2 is going to be better than these.

2016 is supposed to be the smartphone year for Microsoft. The company is expected to enter the market of smartphones with their range of devices. The smartphone that Microsoft is looking forward to bringing into the market is believed to be equipped with some exceptional specs and is being regarded as a higher-end device.
