Martin Promises Interesting Plot Twists In Winds of Winter, Book To Include Dothraki and Valyrian Dialects, More Details

It’s been a long wait for Winds of Winter and fans are happy to finally have something official to fall back on. Youth Health Magazine has revealed that Winds of Winter is going to contain a lot of Dothraki words. The news about Dothraki becoming an important aspect of Winds of Winter was first revealed by David J. Peterson, who is a well-known language expert.

David J. Peterson, was engaged in an AMA discussion with fans about Winds of Winter when he revealed that Winds of Winter will see writer George R. R. Martin incorporating a lot of Dothraki into his writing. The HBO series Game of Thrones has already seen some aspects of Dothraki being incorporated in the previous seasons, but this time, it is going to be used in Winds of Winter as well.

Daenerys Targaryen was last seen coming across a tribe of Dothraki and the story will pick up from there in the sixth installment of the ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ novel series. Daenerys Targaryen is one of the primary characters in the upcoming novel and to make her interaction with the Dothraki more genuine, David J. Peterson has been asked to develop the language.

International Business Times has reported that there are about 4000 Dothraki word for now and it is going to take some time before the language develops completely. Peterson explains that English is a very popular language and has a wide range of usage and hence it has hundreds of thousands of words. Dothraki on the other hand is a localized language, but even though it has very little association with the outside world, it is still going to have more than thousands words.

Peterson has helped HBO and George R. R. Martin create both Dothraki and the Valyrian tongue, but it hasn’t been an easy task. Peterson joked that he would be very happy if both the language ends up with around 10,000 words in its vocabulary by the last days of his life. Peterson was first roped in by HBO for creating the different languages mentioned in the book way back in 2009.

George R. R. Martin has hinted that Jon Snow will survive in his book. He has asked the fans to not fret thinking of the two endings that the story will now end up having. The fans of the novel had been very unhappy with the fact that HBO is going ahead to create a story that will be completely different from George R. R. Martin had shared.

Martin has also asked the fans to relax stating that the interest for Winds of Winter will not die down since the fans will still be clamoring to find out what’s in store for the characters in the story.

Fans will still hold on to the charm that Martin adds to the plot of the story even though HBO will wrap it up before him.

There are fifteen characters in Martin’s novel who are dead in the HBO series and this gives fans some hope that their favorite character Jon Snow will survive the brutal attack on him by the brothers in the Night’s Watch. Martin didn’t clearly state what’s in store for Jon Snow in Winds of Winter, but he did mention that some of the major characters will have different fates in the novel.
