Married at First Sight Season 3: What the Participants are Doing Now, Spin-off, Domestic Abuse Allegations

The scenario seems to be vastly different from ‘behind –the-scenes’ though, where David apparently used to slam the door on Ashley’s face. But the show didn’t feature that because they wanted to portray him as the jilted lover.

There are reports that have surfaced which show that David was detained by the Arizona police in 2007 after mistreating his then-girlfriend, whom he chased around rooms, smashing things, before finally pinning her down.

The police appeared just in time after being informed by David’s brother Brian, who along with David’s girlfriend had been threatened by David to have his throat slit during the incident. Norton was arrested for criminal damage and disorderly conduct, and the case was closed in 2008 after he completed domestic violence classes.

It is the non-disclosure and the selected screening that seems to have left Ashley feeling cheated. According to her mother, it was extremely unfair because the candidates are supposed to be selected only after undergoing extensive background checks by special experts.

What do you think about such shows? Can relationships result from such intense calculations? What role does publicity play in these apparently true desires to get married and settle down? Why are there no same-sex couples?

  1. You forgot to mention Cortney and Jason from Season 1 as a successful couple from this show. You had a photo of them, but no mention.
