Married at First Sight Season 3: Three Couples Return, Hiccups On the Wedding Day, And More

After all the speculations and reports that the show will not be renewed for another season, Married at First Sight Season 3 is back with three new couples. There were reports that the network hasn’t canceled the show, but there was no confirmation to back those reports.

Now with Married at First Sight Season 3 on air, all these doubts and speculations can be set aside for good. The series had started off on a good note with both the couples still married and happy.

Yes, they do have their differences and bad days, but they are still married together and that goes on to show that the expert team of panelists did quite a good job.

However, things started to go bad for Married at First Sight when Season 2 ended up with all the couples deciding to quit. To make matters worse, there was a particular couple that even filed restraining orders since Ryan De Nino threatened to hurt Jessica Castro‘s family.

In spite of all the odds against them, the producers stood by the claim that the panel cannot guarantee that all the marriages will work out. It can only pair two people on the basis of their likes and dislikes and then hope for them to work things out.

There were speculations that Married at First Sight Season 3 will not be renewed and instead will be replaced by Seven Year Switch. However, this didn’t happen and Season 3 is back. The new season has brides Ashley Doherty, Samantha Role and Vanessa Nelson and their respective grooms David Norton, Neil Bowlus, and Tress Russell.

US Magazine reported that this time round, the response from the families and friends of the couples were shocking. Previously in the series they have been skeptical about the bride or groom getting married to someone they didn’t know previously, but given the negative reviews about the show, the reaction was intense this time. However, the family and friends of the couple stood by them as they went ahead with the wedding.

Hiccups while walking down the aisle is a common feature at Married at First Sight and in Season 3 there’s nothing new. The brides all confessed to feeling nervous and almost having a panic attack while they were walking to the altar.

Samantha confessed that she had a panic attack and Ashley said that she was sweating profusely since she was very nervous. Vanessa was the only one to remain calm, but she did take a long pause before saying “I Do” and the first episode ended with the cliff hanger. Second episode of Married at First Sight Season 3 did open to reveal that Vanessa had gone ahead with the wedding.

The panel for Married at First Sight Season 3, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, the sociologist, Dr. Joseph Cilona, the sexologist and Greg Epstein, the spiritual advisor for the couples, have put in a lot of effort to make sure that the coupling this time gives better results than Season 2.

Christian Today reported that viewers were happy about the pairing this time round and felt that Samantha Role and Neil Bowlus had a good chance of sticking together.

Both of them are well educated and have a similar family background. Their quirky nature and awkwardness around people will also make them bond well.

The second couple Ashley Doherty and David Norton, seems to be a good couple, however, fans aren’t very positive about their relationship.

David made a very sweet gesture when he sent forward a note to Ashley’s parents assuring them that he is ready for the challenge and will be committed to their marriage.
